Cha-Ching 4 Bling is a registered business in NJ and I (Timothy Courtney) am the sole proprietor. I promise great customer service and one-on-one attention. My goal is to give you the highest cash payout along with a speedy cash return.

The information below lists procedures for you to follow and outlines my step-by-step method of operation.

JEWELRY PREPARATION:  Prior to delivering your scrap jewelry, conduct a detailed inventory, please give me a copy. Look carefully at each piece of scrap jewelry to make sure it is real gold, silver and/or platinum and not just plated or filled costume jewelry.  Look for the indented markings that indicate the gold karat purity content of real gold (10K, 14K, 18K). Sometimes the karat indicator will not be visible on real gold. Customers will not receive monetary compensation for gemstones mounted in their scrap jewelry. If possible please remove all gemstones from each  piece of jewelry. Any gemstones that I must remove will not be returned to the customer.

ACID TESTING: Consists of lightly scraping each piece of scrap jewelry against a tile surface leaving a light gold residue mark. This residue mark is then tested with acid to determine the karat gold purity or type of metal (silver, platinum) of each piece of jewelry. There may be an occasion when a nail file may be used to make a small scratch into the jewelry piece. This is performed to determine if the jewelry piece is real gold or silver throughout and not just plated or filled.  The acid testing procedure may leave a small scratch on the jewelry piece.  Acid testing insures that an accurate cash payment can be calculated.

WEIGHING YOUR SCRAP GOLD: Each gold karat purity group, silver group and platinum group will be weighed separately to determine it's weight in grams.   I use a new American Weight AMW-600 scale. There is a different cash value for each gold karat group and metal group. Example: 24 karat gold (99.9 % pure gold) has a much higher cash pay out than 10 karat gold (41 % pure gold).

PAYMENT: Your cash payout will be based on the following factors: the  price of gold, silver and platinum on that day, the karat gold purity of your scrap gold and the weight (in grams) of your scrap gold, silver and/or platinum. Keep in mind that the daily gold price is based on a troy ounce which consists of 31.1 grams. I will calculate your payment quote the same day I receive  your package and you will be notified immediately. If  you are satisfied  with the payment quote a check will be delivered that day.

SHIPPING:  If  you do not live close by your jewelry will need to be shipped to the
above listed address. Place your scrap jewelry in a plastic bag and wrap it with bubble wrap or paper. A small bubble envelope makes a good mailer. Place a copy of your scrap jewelry inventory in the envelope. You should insure your package for an appropriate amount (your discretion), add delivery confirmation and ship via USPS.  When your package arrives I will contact you. When you approve the payment quote (via telephone or email) I will issue a check and the sale is final, your scrap jewelry will not be returned to you. Your check will be mailed on the very next business day (first class USPS).

I will reimburse you for your first class USPS shipping, delivery confirmation charges and  insurance charges (up to $400.00 worth of insurance).

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER INFORMATION:
Payment quotes must be approved by the customer before a check is issued. All payments for sales of scrap jewelry are final. Your scrap jewelry will not be returned after you approve the payment quote and
a check is issued.

The normal acid testing process may leave small scratches on your scrap jewelry. In cases where a customers scrap jewelry is returned, Cha-Ching 4 Bling will not be held responsible for damage incurred as a result of acid testing and gemstone removal.

If you are not satisfied with the final payment quote, all your scrap jewelry will be returned to you. I will pay the return shipping expenses but will not reimburse for the original shipping costs incurred by you.
